UPDATE Russia Railways to study participation in Greece’s Rosco sale
(Adds details in third paragraph)
MOSCOW, Apr 26 (PRIME) -- Russian Railways will study participation in an auction for a stake in Greek rolling stock maintenance company Rosco after a final decision on a binding offer for Greek railroad operator TrainOSE has been made, First Vice President Alexander Misharin told reporters Tuesday.
“We are not studying that now. It is a second stage, and the main issue here is when we make a decision (on TrainOSE). After that comes Rosco. Rosco will not be sold before that,” he said.
Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich told reporters that the company will decide whether to file a binding offer for privatization of TrainOSE in a month or month and a half.
On April 15, Russian Railways said it filed a bid at an auction for privatization of Greek railway operator TrainOSE. The submission of binding offers – the second stage of the auction – will be held on May 31.
